چکیده
November-December 2012 MILITARY REVIEW Major Ben Zweibelson is currently the 1-2 Cavalry Regiment operations officer in Vilseck, Germany. He is a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, having recently served with NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan, where he led operational level planning efforts that fused design theory with detailed planning. He holds an M.A. from Louisiana State University, an MMAS from the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies, and a master’s degree in military operational art from the U.S. Air Force Command and Staff College Program.

The validation of knowledge construction model based on constructivist approach to support ILL-structured problems solving process for industrial education and technology students
This research aimed to study the internal validation and the external validation of the knowledge construction model based on constructivist approach to support process in solving ill-structured problems. The samples were 42 fourth-year undergraduate students from the Department of Educational Communications and Technology, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. There were 3 experts ...
متن کاملInstructional Design Models for Well-Structured and Ill-Structured Problem-Solving Learning Outcomes
Although problem solving is regarded by most educators as among the most important learning outcomes, few instructional design prescriptions are available for designing problem-solving instruction and engaging learners. This paper distinguishes between well-structured problems and ill-structured problems. Well-structured problems are constrained problems with convergent solutions that engage th...
متن کاملDesign Problems and Design Paradoxes
Introduction The problem-solving literature that arose in the 1960s and 1970s in the promising and exciting field of artificial intelligence has had a profound impact on Design Methodology. The introduction of these theories in Design Methodology, at the start of the 1970s, helped to systemize the models and methods of design existing then, and link them to models of problem solving in other fi...
متن کاملSuperlinearly convergent exact penalty projected structured Hessian updating schemes for constrained nonlinear least squares: asymptotic analysis
We present a structured algorithm for solving constrained nonlinear least squares problems, and establish its local two-step Q-superlinear convergence. The approach is based on an adaptive structured scheme due to Mahdavi-Amiri and Bartels of the exact penalty method of Coleman and Conn for nonlinearly constrained optimization problems. The structured adaptation also makes use of the ideas of N...
متن کاملThe Design Theory Nexus 1 2
14 15 Managers frequently face ill-structured or “wicked” prob16 lems. Such problems are characterized by a large degree of 17 uncertainty with respect to how the problem should be 18 approached and how to establish and evaluate the set of 19 alternative solutions. A design theory nexus is a set of 20 constructs and methods that enable the construction of models 21 that connect numerous design ...
